The drug war is inhumane, has costed trillions of dollars, destroys our communities, and is the main cause of inner city crime. Instead of sending addicts to prison, send them to treatment. Do we put alcoholics in prison? Portugal took a big step and they were absolutely right. We should have the humility to accept that we were wrong and do the same.
